Hi there, remember me?!

It's been quite a while since I posted anything. Truth be told, I haven't had a lot of time to do any crafting. Between work and family I've been overworked and overrun by life. I've also re-focused/ expanded my crafting on mixed media/art journaling and paper crafting. I still do cards and scrapbook but not as much as I used to.
I wanted to show you all a art journal page I did, this was inspired by two different art journaling classes I did at two different stores. The one above was done at Scrap Addicts, the one below was done at The Inked Stamper. Unfortunately, The Inked Stamper closed their doors earlier this year.

These two pages inspires me to do this,

Don't you just love Dina Wakley's scribbly birds, I know I do.

This little froggy is actually part of a set from Doodle Pantry called Quirky Frog.
Now I'm not a frog lover but I think this one is pretty cute!!

This card is being entered into the following challenges,

The Bringer of Spring!!

The seasonal challenge over at CDAC is running from April 1 to June 30.
The idea is to show what the weather is like where you are, well, about 2 weeks ago
the sun was shinning bright and people were wearing light jackets.
Last week, we got hit with yet another snow storm, and it snowed all weekend.
Now, the sun is out and everything is quickly melting away, not sure that's a good thing.

That's why I used this image from Sylvia Zet, owner of Wee Digital Stamps, she's
called Spring Bringer. That's right, I believed that using this cute spring fairy
would help push winter away for good, and so far so good. No signs that
winter will rare it's ugly head again,
okay at least for the next few days, after all I do live in Alberta where the weather changes ever so quickly. ;)

I'm entering this card into CDAC's Seasonal Fun Challenge and
Flutter By Wednesdays, anything goes with a fairy or butterfly.

Black and Yellow!!

For some odd reason when I saw this image, the colours Black and Yellow came to mind.
I made this a CAS card, used Copic Markers to colour and a EK success punch!
CDAC Progressive Challenge is a bit different this time around, if you choose to play you can get a total of
four images/images sets to play with. This image is the first one made by Nana Vic's Digitals. Head on over to the progressive challenge and check it out, you won't want to miss out, the images are beautiful.
I will be entering this card to Mema's Crafts, Anything goes challenge for April

Well ladies and gents, it's that time again!!
That's right, CDAC has brand new challenges, staring from
April 1 to June 30. For each challenge you enter
you receive a free digital image at the close of the challenge.
Go on over and check it out!

This card is being entered into the "Anything Goes" challenge. The focal point on this card
was made by using Rangers Melting Pot, UTEE and Graphic Gears
texture treads. Some perfect pearl powder was add for color and perfect pearl
black spray was added to the card.
Just in case you can't see what Tim's brass plate says,
it says, embrace imperfection.
Think this makes a wonderful man card!!

Digital No-Lines!

This card will be entered into CDAC's 1-2-3 Challenge, just in the nick of time as you only have a few more hours left to complete the challenges over there. I used the No-Lines technique again but this time on a Digital stamp by Tiddly Inks. When printing out the image, I changed the colour to a light grey. The image is called Faythe Flies and can be found here. I just love this image she is so cute.
