Moving?!

Here is my little hole in the wall, it's a picture of my craft space in my basement. This past week I decided that I'd move my stuff from the basement into our computer room upstairs!

Of course this was not an easy task, this room used to hold 4 computers and 1 T.V and I seem to be having a problem fitting all my card making stuff in the room! Thank God I've left my cross stitching down in the basement, because I really don't know where everything would fit. I haven't made a card all week and I'm still not done moving the rooms around. I also have a Bridal shower to go to on Sunday and I haven't made a card yet. But, there is still hope! I finished work this morning and have the weekend off, so hopefully, I'll be able to get the room done and do a card, maybe even post it sometime this weekend. Wish me luck, I really do need it!

Things with wings is the challenge over at the U.K blog, and this princess fairy not only has wings but it will grant me three wishes as well! I 'm also entering this card into JUGS29, where the colors for the week are Pink, Green, Lavender, with Yellow as an option. It is also Lisa's, one of the design team members, birthday, so Happy Birthday. The sketch I am using is from I Love Digi Challenge blog. When I saw this sketch I know it would work perfectly for all three challenges!

KD1

I was so determined to enter into all of Karens Doodle challenges this week, okay at least three. This is challenge week 6 and I've been so busy with taxes, birthdays, moving, etc.. I think you get the point. I haven't been able to color all my images. I was however able to finish this card for the sketch challenge on her U.S. blog. I love this image, baby bunny looks so happy and content with his carrot. I had to use the embossed hearts cardstock on this card, the pattern cardstock is from Martha Stewart, along with the doily lace punch and large butterfly punch. The rubber stamped sentiment is from Studio G, which I think goes perfect with this card. Okay, one down and three to go!!

Butterflies, Bees, Bugs oh my!

Last week Saturday, Bugaboo stamps challenge blog had a blog hop and a challenge. First off, let me say that the design team over there did a excellent job! All their projects were so cute and wonderful. The challenge was to create something that had a bug on it. So, this is the card that I came up with. The digi stamp that I used is called BBBugsBee, he is part of their bugaboo brat bugs collection, which you can find here. The rubber stamped sentiment is from Studio G and inked with Color Box fluid chalk. I punched out Martha Stewart's Garden trellis and placed it behind the spellbinders edgeabilities, Rose Blossom , then punched out different sizes of butterflies to put on the trellis. Personally, I'm not a bug lover, but this bee is so cute, I'm glad I decided to catch the bug!
I am also entering this card into Paper Sundaes 13th Challenge- Make a scene
They will be having a Blog hop From April 24 - 30.

Cricut Challenge

Over at Scraps of Color (SOC) they started a cricut challenge. For the 1st challenge, you are to pick a cartridge and complete the "getting started " project inside, we had two weeks to finish.I pick up the new "Just Because Card" cartridge on sale last week and decided to use that. I had to change somethings, but the basic elements are the same.

April Flurries?

As the saying goes, " April showers bring May flowers", and boy did we get "showers" along with high blowing winds and yes...SNOW! In fact, we got blowing snow yesterday.

I've lived in Edmonton all of my adult life and the weather here never ceases to amaze me. I remember, one year having snow in July, HUH! gives all new meaning to "Christmas in July". Oh well, as they say, give it a minute and it will change.

The ladies over at Sweet 'N Sassy must be in the know with Mother Nature. It was digi day over at their PCP and SNR groups and the challenge was to "Let it Rain!", sigh, They need to live here. Here is the card I made.

Sweet 'N Sassy has digi day every Thursday and if you play along with them by midnight EST you'll get a FREE image! I know, I know, it's Friday, but it's not to late to play, because you have until next Wednesday, April 14 'til midnight EST and you'll get a 25% off coupon to the Sweet 'N Sassy store where there are so many wonderful digi's! Just leave your email when you play. So, if you haven't already, go and sign up on one or both their groups, go visit their shop here, and mark Thursday's down on your calenders for free digi's!

Kokeshi!

I've seen a few challenges asking for an Asian card and I've wanted to do one but just haven't had the time, until recently. I used my two favorite colors for this card,( now, oddly enough I'm sure some of you think that purple is one of them, but it's not,) black and red with a little bit of gold. The 3D cut out picture image is from Flower soft, I cut out the pieces but before putting them together, I added the Spring Mix Flower soft to the image. Then I used Digi Kitty's free Kokeshi image, isn't she cute, and used Touch markers to color her in. I than rubber stamped, colored and cut out the fan and added it to the card. I'm very pleased with the results. I used this weeks sketch from The Sweet Stop.

Good Friday!

Today is Good Friday and I thought I'd share with you a card I made for today.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:
Shirley's 2 Girls - Anything goes
Little Paper Shop Color Challenge - Kraft, Chocolate, Yellow
I Did It Creations - Sketch Challenge
